GUILD TALKS & WORKSHOPS

Three years of teaching quilting in Toronto taught me that teaching is not only about sharing one's knowledge, but for the teacher it's a great way to grow and learn too. I offer talks on my work and experiences, and workshops on foundation paper piecing. I'd be happy to chat about what your guild might be looking for.

SCHEDULED TALKS / TRUNK SHOWS:

Lions Gate Quilt Guild:  Tuesday, September 25, 7pm.

SCHEDULED WORKSHOPS:

Vancouver MQG:   Sunday, March 31.

Reviews:

"Thank you so much for your talk at Yorkshire Rose last night. It was inspiring and reminded me again how moving it is to hear someone speak their truth from the heart. I think you opened a lot of hearts last night."   K. Gregory - Programme Coordinator, Yorkshire Rose Quilters Guild of Toronto

"Berene's talk and trunk show was delightful, filled with interesting insites and gorgeous quilts, she was a hit with our guild, and I would happily recommend her to all guilds, modern or traditional."   M. Little - Program Coordinator, Oakville Quilters' Guild

"Berene’s quilt Guild talk wasn’t like others we have had- she spoke to the crowd like she was talking to each of us one on one.  A whole hearted discussion of; quilting, purpose, inner strength and conscious as it relates to quilting, the artistic process and what it means to be part of the ‘quilting community’. " Alison Harle, Ottawa MQG

"I thoroughly enjoyed the paper piecing class with Berene,  I had already had some experience with paper piecing but she taught me new techniques to make it easier. Paper piercing finally made sense!"   Alison Harle - Member, Ottawa MQG

"Before Berene’s engaging and comprehensive talk to our guild, I had no idea that there were so many options for producing quilt labels – printing on cloth on one’s home computer, using cunning little rubber stamps and uploading original designs to Spoonflower were just a few of the topics covered.   Berene also showed lots of examples of clever label designs and delivered it all with humour and charm. I certainly was inspired to up my label game." Linda Morrison - Speaker Coordinator, Vancouver MQG
